We spend a lot of time looking after decks; fir decks, mahogany decks, decks on the top of Back Bay brownstones, decks overwhelmed by trees and shade in the leafy suburbs of Newton and Wellesley.  As painting contractors, we are often asked what the best product is for wood protection and until recently prevaricated - so many variables undermine coating longevity and durability that there is no 'best' product.

We've begun using a new product by Penofin, Verde

It's a green decking oil which strikes us a great concept--made with new age vegetable ester solvents, tough plant based resins, and the same high quality Brazilian rosewood oil found in all Penofin productsIt also provides 99% ultraviolet protection to prevent fading.

One more product to add to our green inventory, another step in the right direction for our industry.
