As I scan my historical files for archiving I take these moments to read our blog. While reading, I can't help but notice a pattern. We all seem to suffer from a desire to present our best face and represent the quality we believe Catchlight embodies. It's not just about our work and our professional staff, it is about the way we present ourselves through our words.

As times and technologies change, and this is being written by a person with a long and happy history in computers and technology, I have come to appreciate the little things in life: spelling, proper sentence structure and punctuation.

Ok, perhaps it is a bit much to blog about, particularly on a painting company's website but, pride in everything we do is what we are about and the power of properly written text cannot be overlooked. As my favorite page from my Eats, Shoots & Leaves* calendar states:

"The consequences of mispunctuation ... have appealed to both great and little minds, and in the age of fancy-that email a popular example is the comparison of two sentences:

A woman, without her man, is nothing.

A woman: without her, man is nothing."
