To piggyback on Kate's blog below: to be sure, we at Catchlight do place the highest emphasis on customer service--on the jobsite, throughout the back office, and certainly within these intermittent dispatches from the life of our mind.

And yet, at the end of the day, words are just words on a page, pages are just pages from a blog, blogs are just blogs on a website, and so on and so forth.  To put it another way, you'd be forgiven for occasionally wondering if all this verbiage devoted to customer service is just a little bit...pat.

From my particular vantage point as a new homeowner (7 months) and father (2 months), I can happily blog that these aren't just words on a page--Catchlight is the kind of company that devotes itself to asking the questions I'd have my painting contractor ask:

  • are we treating your home with the respect and care with which we'd treat our own homes?
  • are we using safe, environmentally responsible methods and materials?
  • do we regularly check the efficacy of our own safety standards?
Yes, yes, and yes.  Your thoughts are welcomed: what questions would you ask of your painting contractor?
