Boston House Painting: Dashing Through the Slow

That's a laugh--there's nothing stately about December's mad rush towards January.  It's a sprint on top of a sprint set to the skids of whirring tires on ice.  Sometimes it's all you can do to hold on loosely, as the old song goes.

And yet, there are moments of calm and certitude: hot chocolate after a long morning's shoveling, the smell of Christmas cookies baking, the sure, driven quiet of a Sunday afternoon walk through small town USA...and so as not to overromanticize, no moment calmer than the successful completion of one's Christmas shopping!

In that spirit, we at Catchlight offer you this small gift-giving primer, a token of our commitment to community during this holiday season: a simple, easy-to-read Green Gift Giving Guide (for shoppers and decorators)...a listing of Boston-area charities in need of your support (Rosie's Place and the Room to Dream Foundation are two of our favorites)...a storehouse of information for the fixerupper in your life...and finally, the invitation to contact Catchlight with any and all questions on residential painting, restoration, and beautification.

With all best wishes this holiday season,

Justin Keane, Director of Operations
