Boston Residential Painting Contractors: Bent on the Narrow Strait

Ask ten dentists (or doctors, or relatively succinct lawyers) to talk about housepainters; chances are, as Nigel writes below, that nine of those ten might think of a solitary, wobbling tippler on a rickety ladder, or else a ragtag crew of misfits careening around corners in an unlicensed white van.  One image Scylla, the other Charybdis, and in between: a very narrow passage for the reputable painting contractor.

To that end, Catchlight is proud of its membership in good standing with the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA).  Rather like a medieval guild for a postmodern age, PDCA members submit themselves and their craft to rigorous professional and ethical standards.  I recently had the pleasure of attending the 2007 PDCA New England Chapter conference in Vermont along with several of our painters and foremen and can report that the roundtable discussion, breakout sessions, and surgical focus on bettering the industry as a whole by bettering our neighbor members was as refreshing as the mountain air.  The Saturday night BBQ didn't hurt, either.  Special mention to the Starlite Rhythmn Boys and the mysterious but no less spirited Country MC for their dinner performances.

So why not let the PDCA 'Find a Pro' page be your first stop the very next time you're looking for a painting and decorating contractor?  You want the best--begin your next search with a database full of companies who hold themselves to that same standard!

Besides learning about our great trade, the best advice I ever got was through our local PDCA chapter.
We started it in the 80's and was the Bristol Chapter, Fall River, New Bedford, Taunton etc...
Its all gone now, but I really miss sitting down with a group of Professional Tradesman and Bussiness men-women...who took great pride in there business.
You are Fortunate to have good customers and location.
I have seen your work and was impressed. Please keep up the professionalism you show on our trade.
