Even as I will readily, happily admit that Philosophy 101 was more muddle than beacon to my undergraduate sensibilities, I have made cursory attempts to revisit those great, weighty books in the intervening years, with varying degrees of success. Picture Sisyphus in a swirling rainstorm and you're on the right track.
In any case, among his species (Colossus Germanus Genius?), Kant was always singularly difficult for me: dense, driving, allusive. Small wonder, then, that during each rereading I am always quickest to seize upon one of the very few Kantian concepts I sorta kinda get: the Sublime, or that which inspires awe in the beholder.Loyal to a fault, Wikipedia's page on the Sublime locates that awe in the realm between nature and thought; for our purposes, I'd suggest Catchlight offers our readers and clients considerably easier access to wide wonder: just click on Our Portfolio above and navigate through the Back Bay hyperlink to our Schreuder Rembrandt Red kitchen. The brilliance and verve of that red never fails to quicken my pulse a little bit. Our Portfolio contains many such house painting treasures--have at Kant's favorite cabinets!
We'd love to hear your thoughts on what you see and read here going forward. Thank you for the opportunity to be of service.Justin Keane, Director of Operations
